The Baroness of New Richmond

During its years as part of the Empire of Austenasia, the ceremonial headship of the City of New Richmond was vested in the Baroness of New Richmond, a hereditary noble title. Although legally abolished following the secession of the New Richmonder and Shorelinian lands to establish the Commonwealth of New Virginia in February 2020, the Baronage continued to be recognized by the people of New Richmond City as a sort of unofficial cultural figurehead, with the Baronial House retaining ownership of their former aristocratic manor. Lady Brenda was one of the founding residents of the original colonial Dominion of New Richmond, currently residing at the Baronial Residence with her husband Edward, a retired Austenasian Army legate. Under the rules of absolute primogeniture, the heir apparent to the Baronage is Lady Brenda's daughter Kristie, the director of a state workers' cooperative in Friedecksburg, New Richmond City.
Under the Baronial House Act of 2023, the Baroness is a hereditary noble title held by Lady Brenda, her heirs and successors within the Baronial House under law; and is a non-monarchical and apolitical personal representative of New Richmonder heritage and promoter of the traditions and culture of the City of New Richmond. Under that law, the Baroness may not hold any political office, government salary, or membership in the Blair Mountain League; however, she is afforded numerous duties and privileges including:
