Comrade Riley

Respected Comrade K. Riley Hewitt OJR OBM is a long-serving New Richmond City statesman, a revolutionary advocate during the New Virginian July Socialist Revolution, and a founding member of the Blair Mountain League. He currently serves as the first Consul of Justice, as Governor of the Canton of Old Roanoke, and as a member of the Revcomit.
Comrade Riley served as a member of the Austenasian Parliament from the former Town of Augusta (now Friedecksburg Borough in New Richmond City) and the second and final New Virginian Burgess for New Richmond, representing the progressive Imperial Party and Free Democrats respectively. At the outbreak of the July Revolution, Comrade Riley joined the 29th of July Movement alongside his sister, Chairwoman Brooklyn Hewitt. He then organized the Movement's presence within the City of New Richmond and proclaimed the New Richmonder people's support for the Revolution.
Following the proclamation of the New Richmond Republic, Comrade Riley joined fellow New Richmonder revolutionaries to establish the Blair Mountain League and ensure that the spirit and ideals of the Revolution would live on through the Republic. Comrade Riley went on to be elected delegate of New Richmond City to the Congress of People's Councils, and at the first ordinary session of Congress he was unanimously elected People's Commissioner of the Republic. In June 2022 (1RY), he was appointed by Chairwoman Hewitt to serve as a member of the provisional Revcomit, formally recognizing him as a major leader of the Party; he was formally elected to that office at the First Revolutionary Congress.
Hewitt served as People's Commissioner for nearly thirteen months, being succeeded by his elder sister, the respected Mother Hewitt. Following his retirement from that office he was elected Consul of Justice and Governor of Old Roanoke. On Christmas Day 2022 (2RY), he was awarded the Order of Blair Mountain by his sister and successor.
Comrade Riley resides at the Palace of Red July in Friedecksburg Borough, New Richmond City. He is a classically trained musician, having been a member of the Kentucky All-State High School Choir and various additional honors choirs and concert bands.
