The Church of New Richmond

The Church of New Richmond is a Christian denomination headquartered in the NRR and found across the New Virginian multinational community. The Church is the successor to the Anglican Connexion of the now-defunct United Protestant Church in New Virginia (UPC-NVA). The Church of New Richmond has stated that its aim is to provide New Richmonder and other New Virginian Christians with a micronational-oriented community of the faithful, united in common prayer, devotion, and discussion.
Worship in the Church is done using the Rite of New Richmond, a liturgical rite mostly derived in the Anglican Book of Common Prayer and the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite (also known as the Tridentine Mass). Although no longer explicitly Anglican, the Church is historically rooted in Anglo-Catholic tradition and theology; members often engage in devotions such as the invocation of saints and the praying of the Holy Rosary. Most Church members are also members of the Anglican Communion, particularly The Episcopal Church. The Church of New Richmond does not commission any of the sacraments, citing its lack of genuine apostolic succession.

The Pontiff of the Church of New Richmond - its episcopal head and chief pastor - is The Most Reverend Theodora, Bishop of New Richmond and Primate of All New Virginia. The Pontiff is assisted by the Dean of the Church - her personal deacon - and governs in conjunction with the Holy Synod. Ministers of the Church are found across the New Virginian sector. The seat of the Pontiff is at the Cathedral Church of Saint Cecilia in Fayette, Campestria.
